4. Contract Administration
Professional advice during the construction process and administration of the construction contract. Commencing upon the award of the construction contract and terminating upon the substantial completion, the Construction Contract Administration phase helps provide surety that the intent of the design is being followed.
- Construction meetings at intervals appropriate to the stage of construction to observe the progress and quality of the work and to determine in general if the work is proceeding in accordance with the contract documents
- Review and approve or deny contractor submittals such as shop drawings, product data, and samples for conformance with the design concept of the work and with the information given in the contract documents
- Review contractor payment requisitions, change orders, requests for extensions of time, and other claims for approval and execution in accordance with the contract documents
- Prepare detailed punchlist of items to be corrected and completed prior to authorization of final payment to contractor
